Dear
CID Members and all the Friends in the World of Dance,
25th
World Dance Research and 4th İstanbul International Dance Congress
were held in Istanbul between 7 and 14 April 2010.
We

Dernegi .

26th World Congress on Dance Research
"Rapprochement of
Cultures"

CID Congresses are the largest gatherings of dance specialists
world-wide, the best opportunity to showcase one's work to a wide
audience of practitioners, dance teachers, choreographers,
researchers, journalists and organizers. Each CID Congress is
attended by an average of 500 professionals from 50 countries of the
5 continents.
All forms of dance are represented. Strictly non-profit. Not to
be confused with festivals, workshops, competitions or open
conferences.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of
Education and Science, the Municipality of Riga, Riga Teacher
Training and Educational Management Academy and the National UNESCO
Commission.
This congress is organized by the Riga Section of CID-UNESCO, in
collaboration with the International Dance Council CID. It is placed
within International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures,
declared by the United Nations and entrusted to UNESCO.
